Art Goes To Work

Artwork Installation: Performance Health Technology

Performance Health Technology , a health plan administrative services company based in Salem, built out a new downtown Portland location in the Congress Center. In all of their locations PHT is committed to supporting local artists in all their facilities and enlisted Art Etc to curate works for this space. This project was such a great opportunity to showcase many of the talented and diverse artists we are fortunate enough to work with. Below are images of PHT’s interior and more detailed information on a few of the artists we placed there:

Yoshi Aoki

Born and raised in Japan Yoshi Aoki began his career in 2002. His interest in three dimensional forms started him on his path of creating works such as Reflection II. Aokia says his goal is to “..capture the essence of nature in abstract ways.” In his work he brings together  opposing ideas and materials and combines them in an effort to reach a delicate balance. This exploration of contrast brings a peaceful ying and yang feeling to the space.

Sidonie Caron

“I respond to life’s influences, my travels and my environment by making work that reflects all this.” Says Caron of her process in creating her captivating landscapes. Academically trained in London Caron focuses largely on depicting nature and even explores birds eye views and her own beautiful interpretation of ‘Google Earth’.

Molly Cliff Hilts

Cliff-Hilts who has been living and creating art in Portland for over 20 years. Describing her work she says, “My work is a contemplative practice with a strong focus on relationships and the belief that everything and everyone is connected.”She finds interest in illuminating common objects and the often overlooked beauty of simple nature.

Thérèse Murdza

Originally a writer, Murzda began transforming her written words into the beautiful abstract shapes we see displayed here. Working almost exclusively on stretched canvas Murzda expresses her talent through ink.

Thank you to Performance Health Technology for for choosing Art, Etc., and for recognizing so many local artists!
